| Hello world!
I must admit, I was gone for a while there, but I realized I miss blogging to I-don't-know-who about I-don't-know-what! haha I was watching a show that talked about why America has so freely embraced the "blog scene" and they narrowed it all down to the fact that we love blogging whatever we want, whenever we want, for anyone to see, and not having to face anyone. So true. There is something about blogging... letting your words go into an open sea for anyone to read...
Anyway.. hm.. how about an update? (for those who may still faithfully click on my xanga site! Are there any out there???)
Well... I have started my Phase 1 of 3 towards getting certified to be an Elementary School Teacher. (something I have wanted since I was a little girl!) I am also about to begin a recording project in which I hope to produce a cd that people like, and buy! (we'll see... ) The first recording session is on March 4th.. so I will keep you posted.. get it... posted.
I am still a nanny, but have realized, I would like to save all of my parenting efforts for my own children and do not wish to do this much longer. I have recently looked into getting certified to teach music mommy and me classes. (basically just dancing around a room with infants-toddlers and keeping them --and their mommies!!!!-- happy.)
In other news, we have started a college group/ministry/coffee house at our church and are expecting great things! Our first coffee house was a sucess and we had about 75 people show up! (that was without even promoting it!) We will start meeting on Friday nights for a weekly meeting.
Okay, that just about sums up life.... for now... haha
Thanks for reading!

| I just got home from the city. Tonight Kristina and I went to see the opera "Rigoletto" (sp?) performed live (and FREE) in Central Park! I think that everyone should do this at least one time in their life. It was so nice! First of all, we had a great summer night to go, it was nice and breezy! Secondly, we remembered the bug spray and thirdly, we brought Subway sandwiches! It made for a great time! Of course, we were surrounded by dressed up opera die-hards who were sitting on candle-lit blankets sipping wine and eating fine cheese, but that's okay... it made the experience even better!
Anyway... at least tonight I can check off one more thing that I've done to become more "cultured" :)
I'm going to go try to sing the notes the lady in the opera sang, I've been dying to try all night!
Bye! |
